07 Mai Review : Johnny Borrell & Zazou – ‘The Artificial Night’ (EP)

Après son premier album solo, Borrell 1, le frontman de Razorlight Johnny Borrell dévoile un EP de quatre titres. Sorti le 28 avril dernier chez Atlantic Culture Recordings, celui-ci s’intitule The Artificial Night.

Accompagné par Zazou, groupe de musiciens jazz, Johnny Borrell nous propose 4 nouveaux titres :  The Artificial Night, Cacambo’s March, The Camero Song, Man Gave Names To All The Animals. Aux sonorités très jazzy, on retrouve même quelques airs de tango (Cacambo’s March). Piano, cordes, maracas se mêlent très bien aux guitares et la voix de Borrell.

Un an après son premier album solo (Borrell 1 sorti en 2013), ce nouvel EP annonce la venue prochaine du futur album. Un Borrell 2 ?
