Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes are announcing an hiatus…

This morning, the news broke: Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes are announcing an indefinite hiatus…

It’s been nine years and five albums that the Rattlesnakes have made us headbanging. Their latest album, Dark Rainbow, released this year, led to an impressive world tour, with around fifty concerts that started in late 2023. Our editorial team had the pleasure of attending several of these shows: Rock en Seine, the V&B Fest this summer, as well as the unforgettable concert at the Bataclan on February 24th.

At the same time, Frank Carter joined the Sex Pistols this summer to perform Never Mind The Bollocks in its entirety during several dates. The tour kicked off in London on August 13th, 14th, and 15th, before continuing at the AMA Festival in Italy. Due to the success, five new dates were added in the UK (all sold out) from September 20th to 26th.

A glimmer of hope in this sad news: the European tour planned for the end of the year is still on! It will be a chance to experience the band’s energy one last time during the four concerts in France in November: at the Transbordeur in Lyon on the 5th, the Krakatoa in Bordeaux on the 13th, the Stereolux in Nantes on the 14th, and the Aéronef in Lille on the 15th. Don’t wait to book, the Nantes show is already sold out! As a bonus, the Hastings-based band Kid Kapichi, who set La Maroquinerie ablaze on April 20th, will be opening the show.

After such a busy schedule, it’s understandable that the band needs a break… Let’s just hope it doesn’t last too long!
